Blue Sea Diving Center

This dive site is good for every kind of diver. There is a cave (not completely underwater) and a nice wall, where the maximum depth is 25 meters.

After about 30 minutes of navigation by RIB from the coast, the descent begins along the anchor chain at around 6 m depth, opening into a deep blue down to 38 m: the majestic upside-down silhouette of the wreck and the lava seabed rich in marine life make this dive both evocative and intense.

Off the coast of Capomulini, reachable in under 30 minutes from Acitrezza harbour, the site appears as a canyon with two lateral cliffs that allow multi-level dives. The cliffs, with a sandy expanse at their base, are rich in crevices that provide shelter for numerous marine species.

IL Canalone è un’ immersione in località Capomulini, un borgo marinaro a pochi chilometri da Catania. Dopo una navigata con il Gommone di circa 15 minuti, si scende nel blu lungo la catena dell’ ancora a circa 12 metri, si prosegue sino al ciglio della parete rocciosa che si trova ad una profondità di circa 15 mt e si inizia l’ esplorazione con un tuffo dentro questo Canalone formato da due pareti di roccia lavica che concorrono insieme per circa 50 metri in orizzontale. Sul fondo sabbioso del Canalone, a 30 metri, troviamo in alcuni periodi dell’ anno numerose Aquile di Mare (Myliobatis Aquila), mentre negli anfratti di questo lungo canale si possono vedere grosse Murene (Muraenidae), Mostelle (Phycis Phycis), Nudibranchi, Poriferi e tantissime Margherite di Mare (Parazoanthus Axinellae).

Facing the Capomulini lighthouse, easily reachable by boat from Acitrezza, the area offers both a plateau and a reef, allowing dives at both 15 m and 35 m.

Starting with a descent along the line down to 20 meters, the route winds through sand and rock, with a bottom depth ranging between 22 and 15 meters. What truly sets this site apart is a continuous guideline that accompanies you throughout the entire dive, leading you to discover ancient artifacts.
