Paradise on earth is not as far as we think. Only 25 min away from the airport, the island is stunning, covered with vegetation and surrounded by a spectacular lagoon. Our PADI 5-Star dive center is situated at the arrival jetty and offers various PADI courses. As a beginner, you can gain your first diving experience with the Discover Scuba Diving program in the lagoon and a dive from the boat. For certified divers, there are around 36 beautiful dive sites within 10 to 60 minutes by our Dhoni boat. We are lucky to be surrounded by a fantastic variety of dive sites just around the corner, from thila’s to channel dives, outside reefs or Manta cleaning stations. From June to December, possible sightings of Manta rays at the famous Lankan Manta Point and which is just half an hour away by boat. Divers seeking adventure can add an underwater scooter (DPV) to a dive. With some explanation from your guide, off we go for a dive like never before. With a DPV, you can explore a bigger area and conserves air. Most importantly, it is FUN and EASY to handle. The dive sites around Club Med Kani allow you to see turtles, sharks, eagle rays, manta rays, vibrant colors of soft corals, and more. Our morning, afternoon, and night dives will bring you to the most amazing dive sites in North Male Atoll for spectacular dives you will never forget.

Kani Inside
Maldives
A well-protected dive site. The top of the reef is at 4m and is, therefore, also popular with snorkelers. Between 4-6m the wall begins to fall straight down. Many small inlets and crevices.

This is a typical channel dive, however, the down/up currents found here make for difficult conditions that are not suitable for the beginner diver.

The reef is one side from a canal between Lohifushi and Kani so you must expect also current. In this time its only for really experience divers. Without current you can do nice night dives on the house reef. The reef falls down from 6 to 40m.

Easy but always nice dive. The top of the reef drops down from 7m to 30/35m and then runs into the sand. Depending on the current, you simply dive the right or left shoulder. With a little luck, this dive site offers everything that makes diving exciting!

On the eastern side of Kani Finolhu. A long reef were the top reef starts from 5 meters. with a sand patch from 15 meters. big rock in different depth and locations of the site.

Kani Corner

Kani Corner is basically a slope that goes to 25 - 30 m in a sandy bottom. There are some big blocks this deep and at the right time, mantas visit the blocks or pass by the top of the reef. The current can be strong so take caution.
