Great Adventures operates day trips to Green Island and the Outer Great Barrier Reef at pontoon and remote dive sites, providing the opportunity for Discover Scuba and certified diving. Great Adventures offers Discover Scuba and certified diving at Green Island, and pontoon sites at Moore Reef and Norman Reef. Dive boat Silverswift visits remote dive sites at Flynn, Milln, Thetford and Pellowe reefs. Well suited to experienced divers, Silverswift also caters for introductory Discover Scuba divers. Sailing catamaran Ocean Spirit visits Michaelmas Cay and offers Discover Scuba Diving. For PADI Open Water Courses, ongoing diver training and professional development, we recommend PADI 5 Star Dive Centres Pro Dive Cairns based in Cairns, and Quicksilver Dive based in Port Douglas.

Hastings Reef - Fish Bowl

Right at the edge of Hasting Reef, south part, Fishbowl has a nice coral wall that offers a variety of diving and snorkeling experiences. An abundance of fish at its shallowest is what gives it its name. Easy navigation with the wall makes it a great dive site for new and advanced divers.
