The Maritim Diving Centre is based in the Maritim Resort and Spa-5 star hotel in the North-west region of Mauritius: Turtle Bay. Turtle Bay has a high historical value since its colonisation by the Dutch, French and finally British; ruins of old flour mill, rum distillery and dam built by the French Governor: Mahé de Labourdonnais are still well preserved. Not only are National monuments and National Heritage of Mauritius protected in Turtle Bay but also its marine biodiversity. The Balaclava-Turtle Bay Marine Park has been proclaimed the first marine national park for marine life in 1998, where 430 different underwater creatures as well as 180 different species of coral are protected for the best of scuba diving lovers. Working closely with the Maritim Resort and Spa- 5 star, the Maritim Diving Centre not only caters for hotel guest but also anyone who would like to discover the magical underwater world of Mauritius. We also offer a pick-up service to divers within 5km from the Maritim Resort and Spa. Our guest can enjoy the magnificent facilities of the Maritim Resort and Spa. Our Scuba Diving confine trainings are conducted in the hotel swimming pool as well as in open water sea. After an exciting journey, relaxing at the bars and restaurants of the Maritim Resort and Spa makes the best retreat for our scuba divers. The Maritim Resort and Spa also offers an array of other activities such as water skiing and other boat activities. Our commitment to safety, we ensure that our team members are fully trained in Emergency First Response skills and first aid. Safety first, Safety Second and Safety third… Our diving equipment are regularly inspected and tested. We pride ourselves on our Scubapro Educational Association (SEA) membership, we are committed to and required to offer very recent SCUBAPRO equipment, serviced at least annually, in order to maintain our high level of performance for relaxed and enjoyable diving experiences any time of the year and ensuring you are completely confident underwater and enjoy each dive, resurfacing with a smile.In our recent SCUBAPRO equipment, we have T-one BC’s, MK2/2+ regulators and Everflex 5mm wetsuits as well as Profiler 2.5mm shorties. Dive insurance is in place for all our diving guests as standard. Our Scuba Diving Centre is also an active member of the Mauritian Scuba Diving Association (MSDA) signifying our commitment to professionalism and excellence. As a Mauritius Qualification Authority (MQA) approved training dive center, we have a high emphasis on quality training, safety and enjoyment for our guests. Caring for disabled person, we also propose training for disabled persons with varying difficulties, catering for their special requirements on equipment, entry and exit of the water and one to one training.
