Native Sons is one of the original Roatan dive shops, set up 35 years ago. It is family owned and run by l ocal island dive legend Alvin Jackson and his English wife and has a lovely laid back, island vibe. Michele and Alvin were 2 of the founding members of the Roatan Marine Park and are passionate about protecting Roatan’s fragile environment. With over 1200 5 star reviews, over multiple platforms, there is no need to consider diving anywhere else Roatan has some of the best reefs in the world. Conditions are great all year round with calm seas, good visibility and little current. It’s all wall diving so you can stay at 40 feet, if that is where you are happy or go deep down the wall, if your experience permits. We run a safe but fun, professional shop with 3 recreational dives a day, night dives at least once a week, valet service and small personalised groups. Fun dives always last an hour, or as long as your air lasts, and are guided by our very experienced PADI instructors, to make sure everyone is safe and enjoys their bottom time. Want to see exciting marine life? Our dive masters are specialists at finding all the fun stuff, big or small. We also teach all PADI courses from Open Water to Dive Master. Our beachfront shop is in the front garden of Hotel Chillies, a very popular West End hotel, with great reviews. We also have a much loved cafe on site, Yahongreh?, which is perfect for yummy early breakfasts, smoothies in between dives and easy lunches.
