Port Diver has been in the same location for over 50 years. In 1995 Joyce and I (Greg) bought the shop which had been "our dive shop" for over 15 years. I have been certified since 1974 and Joyce got her certification in 1987. It seems like yesterday. We took diving from our passion and made it our life. Best move we ever made.

USS San Diego Wreck

In July 1918, the 15,000-ton armored cruiser USS San Diego sank off Long Island, New York, losing six sailors from a crew of 1,200 after a mysterious explosion struck the vessel. She was later determined to have been sunk by a mine, laid by U-156.
