Welcome to Takata Experience, a PADI 5 Star IDC Center and Research Center in Mahahual, Mexico. We offer dive courses from Open Water to Divemaster and Instructor Development, Marine Ecology Courses and Dive Packages to suit every need! Established in 2016 by a team of divers, scientists, filmmakers and adventurers, Takata Experience offers the opportunity to discover the underwater world and participate in environmental projects. Our goal is to create an experience that connects us to our surroundings in an environmentally conscious manner, while also having a positive impact on the local community.

It is a beautiful reef dive that begins at approximately 15 meters (50 ft) of depth. The site is characterized by large coral formations (“bommies”) that descend to around 24 meters (80 ft).

It is a group of coral islands on a flat sandy bottom. It is very appropriate for both very beginners and for Open Water divers as depth ranges from 9 meters/30 feet to 15 meters/50 feet. Visibility is usually more than 20 meters/65 feet and the abundance of fish on the coral islands is an admirable beauty.

This site is born from the millenial growth of the coral reef, giving birth to taller walls and a wide and a narrow canyon where a shark sometimes comes to rest. Following the walls while hunting lionfish will lead you to two islands surrounded by big specimens of barrel sponges.
