Tweed Sea Sports

“Cook Island” is known as a Marine Reserve and is home to a wide variety of marine life and breeding seabirds. Cook Island provides a great opportunity to visit a protected area and witness why so many love this special place. Max depth here is 13m.

Tweed River is a great location for beginner divers, Tweed heads is located off Coral Street, Tweed Heads. The dive site has easy access with concrete stairs down to the entry point. as well as a beach option for drift diving. Very Lovely Site. Vis is great in Winter and High Tides.

The top of the reef sits at about 10 meters deep, dropping to 30 meters with the drop-off covered in numerous hard and soft corals. Reef fish are scattered across the shallower parts, with pelagic fish, sharks, turtles, stingrays, eagle rays, and the occasional manta ray circling the reef.

Wonder reef is the world’s first artistically designed buoyant reef consisting of 9 beautiful individual reef spirals. Each buoyant reef is anchored to the seafloor and moves with the energy of the ocean like a giant kelp forest.

This heritage protected shipwreck is probably the Gold Coast's best dive site. 1887 was the year it ran aground and subsequently sank. Its only 12-13m deep and ideal for all experience levels. The site is full of life. Turtles, rays, sharks and bait fish are calling this magnificent dive site home. Please make sure that nothing is touched or taken from this dive site as it is an historic shipwreck!

Ten minutes offshore from the Gold Coast is open water suitable for freediving line training and courses. The bottom depth is approximately 40 meters deep.
