High Tide Scuba and Water Sports

Somervell County Water District opened Wheeler Branch Park on August 7, 2010. The park has a boat ramp with floating dock, a beach area that also has its own floating dock island, public restrooms, covered picnic areas, and a large pavilion.

-Recreational dive quarry in Terrell, Texas -No instruction is provided by us, but we are a venue many instructors bring students to complete training -Depth avg is 35-40'. Deepest being in silos at 60-65', depending on water level -Aquifer fed, with an abundance of underwater wildlife, including fish, turtles, and freshwater jellyfish -Underwater attractions include boat wreckages, airplanes, and our park icon "Sisco the Shark" -Being freshwater, visibility varies depending on environmental factors and location in the lake. -Air-fill on site $10, no nitrox available -Rental gear is available, for a full list of rental gear pricing, see "FAQs" page of website -Training pool on-site for confined water scuba training, and is 4.5' in the shallow, and 13' in the deep. The Scuba Ranch, formerly known as Clear Springs Scuba Park, opened in June 15, 2001. We are a family owned and operated recreational scuba facility, and offer a 22 acre spring-fed lake that has one of the most beautiful, natural habitats seen in a fresh-water Texas Lake.
