Scuola Sub LNI Sez. Quinto

The U-455, launched in 1941, was a German submarine built for service during World War II. It was discovered in very deep water, it is almost certain that she was sunk in 1944 southeast of Genoa by a mine. She is 67 meters in length and sits between 110 - 120 meters. The dive is considered extremely challenging.

This dive site is reserved for the more experienced due to the presence of currents and its location. A sea mountain that rises from a depth of 60 meters deep up to 15 meters from the surface

Punta Chiappa is a rocky outcrop jutting out into the sea, revealing beautiful seabeds on both sides, worth exploring at a depth of about 25 meters. Descending deeper, you’ll find detritus flats, home to organisms typical of this type of seabed, such as striped sea breams and red mullets.

Most renowned and coveted dive among those in the park, beautiful also the location that outdoors on clear days allows you to see the coast from Camogli to Genoa in all its splendor.

Grotta dei Gamberi dive site, located on the east side of Punta Chiappa, begins at 18 meters at the base of the mooring buoy. Heading south and slightly to the west, the rocky seabed mixed with posidonia slowly slopes down to 22 meters, where a beautiful vertical sinking wall begins.

A nice wall dive, very easy orientation and conditions. You descend to an altitude of 10 meters and from there a beautiful wall covered with parazoantus starts.
