SUBEX Diving Center Hurghada

1 hour to the south of El Gouna you can find the Fanadir reefs. This site features a wall which is full of marine life. After the wall sits a Plateau which is about 20m wide and then there is a drop-off to over 70m depth. On the plateau you will find some pinnacles to explore.

El Fanadir is a reef stretching for 3 kilometers and is around 4 kilometers away from shore and has to be done by boat. The reef has a wall on the north East sides, full of corals and fish. There is a sand bottom between the wall and the drop off where you will find patches of corals. The drop off is paralel to the wall and starts at 18 meters going to 30+. Also there is a shallow sandy lagoon on the south east side of the reef, perfect for beginners.

The Excalibur or Susana was a dive boat that sank in 1996 following an electrical fire. It now lies at a floor depth of just over 20m making it suitable for OW divers

The dive site features a sandy beach entrance that provides easy access to the water, making it ideal for divers of all experience levels. As you enter, you’ll notice an abundance of baby corals spread out on both sides, creating a lively underwater scene that’s perfect for observing marine life up close. At a depth of 19 meters, an old wooden boat wreck rests prominently on the seabed, positioned conveniently in front of the dive center. This wreck serves as a key feature for training and exploration, offering a structured environment for practicing skills during check dives or courses. Its location makes it a convenient and reliable option for instructors and students alike, whether you're completing a beginner certification or advancing to more specialized training. The combination of the shallow coral area and the wreck creates a versatile setting that caters to different types of dives while maintaining accessibility and simplicity for all divers. see you soon :)

This site is located in Abu Galawa reef which is about 1 hour south of Elgouna. This dive site is suitable for all divers, especially beginners. The depth is around 4m with a maximum depth of only 10m. There are beautiful pinnacles full of glass and anthias fish. There is also a possibility for a drift dive and seeing dolphins as well.

1 hour south of El Gouna is Marsa Abu Galawa. It is a nice bay with a drop off full of beautiful hard corals. In the bay you find nice coral blocks and inside there is a shallow sea gras area.
