Point Dume is beach dive and while there is diving straight out from the parking lot, we usually go to the pinnacles which is just off the point. This is a deeper dive, so Advanced Certification is required. Access is limited to surf conditions.

My favorite place to dive in Malibu. It's in the marine protected area so the wildlife is abundant. Sea lions, giant lobsters, horned sharks, huge sheephead, and a wide range of larger fish. It's a long surface swim to the dive site but it is totally worth it. Viz can be 50' or greater. Recommended for Advanced divers as there is sometimes strong current that can put you to far to swim back and you've got to hike over the hill to get back to the parking lot. Parking ranges from 10 to 20.00 depending on the weekend. If you get a chance don't hesitate to dive at this phenomenal spot.
