Aldermen Islands
New Zealand
The fantastic Aldermen Islands, named by Captain Cook himself in 1769, a popular dive site situated near the picturesque town of Tairua, on the Coromandel Peninsula, with underwater scenery to rival the Poor Knights. With over 30 dive sites to choose from, including the fantastic Honeycomb Caves, there is something for every level of diver to wonder at, nudibranchs, crayfish, stingrays, dolphins, seals, turtles, marlin and the occasional visit by Orca’s together with the myriad of fish found in these waters, diving these here will provide memories to last a lifetime. With the spectacular Marine Reserve at nearby Gemstone Bay in only 8m of water, it really is possible to dive ‘Narnia’.
Gabr el Bint
Egypt
Gabr el Bint ranks among one of the most attractive sites of North Sinai. With the access by boat, 4x4 or by camel, it is less frequently dived than the other dive sites in Dahab which has left this site in pristine condition. Gabr el Bint means 'The Grave of the Girl' in Arabic. There are two dives possible here. The ledge is riddled with exquisite coral heads that attract numerous reef species, including swarms of anthias, scorpionfish, parrotfish, crocodilefish, surgeonfish, triggerfish, trumpetfish, stingrays and very often a turtle. At the end of the ledge usually is home to a shoal of black and white snappers and twinspot snappers hang here between 5m and 10m. One of the truly breathtaking dives in Dahab.
Johnny's Gorge
India
Johnny's Gorge is a bed of low-lying rocky outcrops emerging from the bottom at 26metres / 85 feet. Surrounded by sand in every direction, these rocks have become an oasis of security and food for everything from small angelfish and anemonefish to spectacular schools of mackerels, barracudas, trevallies, bumphead parrotfish, surgeonfish, and snappers. And if this isn't enough, this world-class dive site is also home to reef sharks, giant groupers, large stingrays, and visiting manta and eagle rays. There is very rarely a quiet moment at Johnny's Gorge.

Siyul Kebira or Big Siyul is one of the Northern Red Sea Islands where you can dive 4 or 5 different spots around the island. This dive site is for all divers levels while it has walls, coral garden, lots of shallow lagoons.

The Coral Garden near the Chicken Wreck contains wonderful and diverse coral life. The depth reaches from 15 to 20 metres. The site can be reached by boat in a short time.

The divesite is located in the north outside of the atoll. It is a vertical wall that continues in a reef slope at 25+ m. With some current a nice drift dive can be done. This dive is a good alternative should there be no manta at the cleaning station.
South Padre Island

The South Padre Island Jetties are accessible through Isla Blanca Park, managed by Cameron County Parks. Parking is available. There is a fee to enter the park. This is shore diving and conditions vary greatly. Always check local tides and weather before diving this site. Average visibility is 5 feet or less.

Directly outside of the Tres Cocos cut, Tres Cocos Canyons is a beginner level dive site. There is a mooring ball and the current, if any, is usually very mild and from the north.

Baixa do Carneiro

Approximately 25 meters from the stairs to the sea at Complexo Balnear do Lido. A fall whose top is just 5 meters deep and descends to 18 meters. It allows excellent diving in “home reefs” for all levels of divers.
Captain Nitros' Drop-off

The Drop-off is located on the western end of Spectacular Reef, and consists of a series of walls thatplunge to over 60 meters in 5-10m increments. This makes it a great dive for all levels. Huge boulders the size of houses are scattered over the area, lying where the ancient Yarra River deposited them.

Usually done as a drift dive from a boat, finishing at Gun Beach. A great dive to view turtles and the occasional ray or even spinner dolphins on some dives. Easy for any level divers on most days.

In the local language (Dhivehi), Miyaru means “shark“ and Faru means “reef“. Shark’s reef it is then, so it’s not too hard to guess what you can expect here!! White tip sharks galore, grey reef sharks aplenty, a few nurse sharks, less common leopard sharks too and even rare tiger sharks & whale sharks sightings!

Dive open to all levels; the Oceana Vsm will take you out on its boat where everything is done to ensure optimum comfort. 30 minutes of navigation to take you to this site.

Lighthouse dive site is in line with the lighthouse and the bay headlands. Frequently affected by current hence for advanced divers and higher only. The top of the reef starts at 13m and gently slopes down to a maximum of 45m into the sand. Good visibility on hightide, siltier on an lowtide.

The coral reef top is at 5-10m. At about 10m depth begins the steep wall, which descends to a sandy bottom at 70 meters. There are some overhangs in the wall.

60 minutes from Nabucco Islands and 30 minutes from Nunukan Islands is Sangalaki Island. Southeast of Sangalaki is Manta Point. The dive site is very shallow and has a sandy bottom.
