Two superb pinnacles at the entrance to the Grande Passe de Poindimié, descend into the blue in search of Bargibenti seahorses and garden eels. Don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled for big pelagics and sharks of all kinds.

A small concrete cherub once marked the main entrance to this hidden cave off Moreton Island. While the guardian has since disappeared, this underwater world remains to be discovered by the adventurous diver.

Golden Gate is a solo coral bommie, sitting alone surrounded by a sandy bottom. The highlight of the bommie is the large swim through at the bottom, with three entry/exit points. The bommie has little over-hangs, where the marine life hide from the current that circles the site.

Guadalupe Island is famous for being one of only 5 places in the world where you can go cage “diving“ whith Great White Sharks. Isla Guadalupe is a volcanic island off the west coast of Mexico’s Baja California.

’El Canyon’ is located on the south end of San Benedicto Island within the famed Revillagigedo Islands. An amazing site that attracts large pelagics due to its depth and exposure to the open ocean. This is an advanced to expert level dive and can only be reached via liveaboard.

San Clemente Island is Southern California’s best-kept secret. Most divers opt for the more popular Catalina Island or go south to the Coronados, but San Clemente is a great place to go on a short liveaboard trip from San Diego.

Access is by boat only here. A rocky kelpy shore line that slopes away to around 12m+ to the sand line. Some cool pinnacles and swim throughs can be found in the area. As you go further away from shore and follow the sand line to the 30m mark you will find some more spectacular pinnacles.

Aliwal Shoal is a fossilized Sand Dune with interesting and unique mountain like reef structures that holds many swim throughs, gullies and crevices to explore. The reef is only accessible by boat, there is no shore entries. The surf launch is part of the adventure. Boats are 8.5m Rubber Ducks/Ribb

From spectacular walls and deep drop-offs to dive-bombing sea lions, wrecks, and relaxing kelp, Anacapa Island, the smallest of the Channel Islands, has it all. Although Anacapa Island is only reachable by boat, there are several dive charter operations that leave from the mainland daily, making it very accessible

The highest point of Aumentos Pinnacle is around 40 feet. The rock on the offshore side is a steep, granite wall that drops vertically to about 60 feet and then more slowly to 80 to 85 feet. The inshore side the reef drops off in steps to 50 to 55 feet and remains at this depth until one encounters Chase Reef.

A large plateau like thila, in the channel between Baarah & Hanimaadhoo, this dive site has provided opportunities to see everything from mantis shrimp to manta rays and even sail fish circling above. A large rocky plateau, covered in older rock and coral formations, the top sits at 15m, dropping off at its sides to 30m.

South Plateau, extends from the southern tip of the Big Island. Beginning around 30m and extending some 500m south, this site sinks to 60m on the point. This plateau is around 20m wide and drops to over 80m off the sides. Current often flows from the north, making returning against current difficult.

One of the best dive sites on Catalina Island, Bird Rock varies from shallow rocks to steep drop-offs and a beautiful arch. The shallow rocky area is great for snorkeling and the entire site is great for new to advanced divers. The water is nearly always clear, calm and generally without current.

The Breakwater is a very popular dive site for Open Water classes with its calm water, easy entry, and protection from ocean swell. It is a fairly short walk from your car to the water and there is a dive shop within walking distance for air fills.

Camp Emerald Bay is home to a long time Boy Scouts of America camp and one of the most popular dive sites on Catalina Island. This is an easy entry dive site from the beach with a gently sloping bottom and beautiful kelp forest right offshore.

Canyons is an advanced dive site with a maximum depth reaching 34m and average depth around 27m. One of the main and most spectacular features of Canyons is a large mushroom rock with a big green coral tree that seems like it was delicately placed there decorated with sea goldies.

With over 70 named dive sites, Catalina Island has it all and is one of the most popular diving destinations in the state of California. On Catalina Island, you can dive from shore or boat over beautiful reefs or majestic kelp beds all teeming with wildlife.

An easily accessible dive site from Channel Island Beach. A great spot for beginners with an easy swim out to the site. Lots of critters hiding within the rocks of the break wall.

Located in the heart of Southern California, Crescent Bay in Laguna Beach is one of the most popular dive sites in this area. It can be accessed from Circle Way via a set of stairs or near Cliff Drive via a paved ramp. The stairway is between private homes so please be mindful of the neighbors.

Diver’s Cove is an easy entry shore dive great for beginning divers. You can access the beach by either the stairs located on the north side of the parking lot on Beverly & Myrtle Streets on Cliff Drive or the ramp on the south side of the parking lot. Be careful of sand as it makes the stairs and ramp slippery.

Eagle Reef is a large rocky structure teaming with life. This is an awesome kelp dive; Catalina Island at it’s finest. This site is only reachable by boat, either private or dive charter. Plan to dive in the morning before winds have a chance to kick up and watch for possible strong currents.

Gulhi Beyru is the outer reef of Gulhi, starting at a wall drop where we can often spot sharks, then crossing a small channel over sand where stingrays are common. The dive leads to a reef with a top of hard corals, sloping down with soft corals, caves, fan corals, and diverse marine life.
