Olympian Divers

Just off Pernera Beach in Ayia Napa the MUSAN (Museum of Underwater Sculpture Ayia Napa) can be found at a maximum depth of just 10m. Access to MUSAN is strictly via an official dive centre.

The Kyrenia wreck is an army vessel that sunk at 2015. Since then she is resting on the shores of Agia Napa and boosting the marine life by creating a shelter. The ship is standing with all her glory on the sandy bottom, it is intact and has a great dramatic effect for the underwater photography enthusiasts.

Also known as Blue Haze, this site is from the beach. Access to the water is from a few steps or on the beach. It is very shallow to start and a small channel leads out to around 2m depth and then on to a maximum of 6m. This site is usually used for try dives and training.

Pernera House Bay is a pleasant dive site with easy, shallow entry. You can reach the dive site from "Herbie's Diving Paradise" in a minute walk. Ideal for beginners and explorers!

A short walk down will take you to the beach. Entry and exit is from the beach with a gradual slope all the way down. Max depth here is around 13m.

Just a few minutes' walk from the dive centre lies the secluded and idyllic Vizakia Beach. Today we made our first exploratory dive there, with the aid of our trusty compass! A gentle walk-in entry from the sand leads into the bay where it is the ideal depth for donning fins and mask, taking a compass bearing and ducking down to see what delights the crystal clear, warm Mediterranean has in store. Over a smooth sandy landscape, we descended to around 5 metres depth and explored a rocky canyon with a variety of marine life including damselfish, wrasse, fangtooth moray, goatfish, jacks and even a lionfish. The canyon led us a little deeper to 10 metres and then it was time to head back, ending a lovely leisurely dive of over 1 hour and returning to the sunshine and comfort of the dive centre for a well-earned iced coffee.
