Balidas Dive Center

Usually done by boat, this dive site is mostly a drift dive. It can be done from shore, but you will need to walk up the hill back to the car for pick up.

Entry from a sandy beach shore line, you will swim toward a slope where you will start your dive. Start off by swimming to the right, then follow the ledge to come across a few coral blocks with lots of colorful fish. Continue along the right side to find turtles eating on the ocean floor.

From the topography of the slope that meets the wall with a variety of soft and hard corals that adorn, such as barrel sponges, huge seafan, table coral, big formation of acropora and others.

Accessible from shore, Jemeluk Bay presents the wall as a deeper dive site and the bay itself. Suitable for beginners the same as for experienced divers, Jemeluk is still quite rich in hard corals and soft corals close to the corner with Bunutan.

This small coral reef lies in depths ranging from 12-22m. In this area you will find many different kinds of sponges, colourful soft corals and sea fans. The marinelife at this Bali dive site includes everything from lobsters, shrimp and goby sets, to anemones with attendant clownfish, and Blue-spotted rays, parrotfish, angelfish, surgeonfish and moray eels, as well as turtles, reef sharks and Bargibanti pygmy seahorses. Close by are some FADs (Fish Attracting Devices) called “Pyramids” which have proved popular with morays and similar but have yet to develop any substantial coral cover. The Wall at the Jemeluk Bay dive site is a series of short, jagged walls dotted with large Barrel sponges and a variety of sea fans. Here you can expect to see an occasional big trevally as well as small schools of Bluefin trevally, Redtooth triggerfish, snapper, fusilier, bannerfish, and butterflyfish. Drifting along The Wall you will see corals (including black corals) and invertebrates with crinoids as well as fish life. Coming shallower – hard and soft corals, sponges, scorpionfish, nudis and other macro critters.

Lean is about 5 km south of Jemeluk Bay in Lean village. The dive site entrance is at the river mouth on the north end of the bay. Starting with a sandy slope, heading south for about 100 meters while staying shallow (20m), you’ll reach a series of beautiful walls descending to depths of over 40 meters.
