Martin Island is home to a colony of Australian Fur Seals. They congregate here during when the cooler water comes through. The max depth is 25m, but the seals play around on the surface to the bottom so there is plenty to see no matter your certification level.

This is in my top 3 favourite places to dive with seals and it is only an 1hr and 15min drive from Sydney! Diving there on the weekend with Abyss Scuba Diving we had a minimum of 10 seals in the water with us at anyone time. They were super engaging and the more we engaged with them the more they played! The team at Abyss were also incredible ensuring everyone was comfortable, safe and enjoyed their dive. Highly recommended!
Magic every time. There is nothing quite like sharing the water with these fun and curious animals. The boat ride out was really quick. The boat was in perfect condition. The Skipper was extremely helpful, providing assistances with entry and exits as well as having a range of spare equipment. Best part was the hot shower on the boat and soup! The people were all so lovely. Wish I could be back diving right now!
