Diving involves risk
Scuba diving, freediving, snorkelling, boating, wildlife encounters and travel can cause serious injury or death. Conditions change quickly and the Platform cannot account for your health, training, equipment, supervision, weather, currents, access or local rules.
Not instruction
Depths, difficulty, currents, visibility, seasons, routes, maps, sightings and community reports are general information — not a dive plan, medical advice, training, safety clearance or guarantee.
Your responsibility
- Dive within your certification, experience, health and comfort level.
- Use suitable maintained equipment and an appropriate buddy, guide or instructor.
- Obtain local briefings, permissions, forecasts and emergency information.
- Never rely on one pin, review, track or label for a safety-critical decision.
- Respect conservation rules and safe wildlife distances.
Operators and maps
The Operator makes eligibility and operational safety decisions and is responsible for staff, equipment, vessels and emergency procedures. Platform verification does not replace your assessment.
Coordinates, boundaries and map layers may be approximate or supplied by Esri and OpenStreetMap contributors. They are not the sole source for navigation or emergencies.
Ocean Tracks and waivers
Animal tracks may be delayed, generalised or incomplete to protect wildlife and do not guarantee a current location.
An Operator may require a jurisdiction-specific waiver. No waiver excludes duties, rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
